i brought my siblings down to grandma's in the late afternoon for some holiday visits. it's been some time since she'd seen them both. so we sat around, talked for a bit. i did some reading and they were playing their games. and then we waited..and waited. alright, i wasn't really hungry since i had lunch before that. but 5 pm arrived and my tummy started to growl. only then did my sister realise she didn't have lunch just now. that's her punishment for waking up late.
she couldn't stop complaining of her hunger and i just told her to read her book. dad only managed to arrive at 7 after her incessant irritating phone calls.
we drove to chinatown's new hawker centre! well it had undergone renovation for quite a number of years now. it's open again recently. the best chicken rice i'd ever tasted was there, not quite sure if it still is now. had our dinner at dad's old friend's zi char stall. the food was only so-so. :x

one can have never too much of it, so mom bought the last 2 杏仁湖(?) almond paste back. a guy came after us and the aunty told him it was sold out. i smiled apologetically but inside my heart i was going, "neh ni neh ni poo poo".
okay well now i'm rather stuffed from dinner so imma go shower and rest my head. bye!
Edit: the almond paste sucked! it was so much nicer before when the ah ma was alive.. ):
